Join the League of Women Voters of Fairview Park

The League was founded in 1920 as an outgrowth of the Women’s Suffrage Movement.  It is a non-partisan, grassroots organization that works to improve our system of government through education and advocacy.  The Fairview Park Chapter was formed in 1954.  It encourages greater participation in government, studies issues, sponsors Candidates Forums and works with our youth  through the High School Youth in Government Project.

We welcome all levels of commitment.  Because of its varied activities League has jobs ranging from those that require only a few hours such as registering voters or telephoning, to being in charge of a single activity, to becoming an officer or board member.  Also, we welcome those who aren't able to actively participate as  membership alone will strengthen our voice.

When you join you become a member of the Fairview park Chapter of the League of Women Voters-Cuyahoga Area,  LWV of Ohio and LWV of the United States.  Your membership includes a subscription to quarterly publications of the LWVUS and the LWVO, a bi-monthly newsletter from the LWV Cuyahoga Area and a quarterly Fairview Voter.
