March 6 Primary Election Information

Traditionally, LWV Cuyahoga Area has provided a Voter Guide. In the last few years, however, it has linked to The Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper Voter Guide as well as to Voter Guides in specific community newspapers. In addition, some local Chapters of LWV Cuyahoga Area have provided Voter Guides and Issues Guides. LWV Cuyahoga Area has also provided links to specific sites that provide expanded nonpartisan information such as www.judge4yourself.com.

LWV Cuyahoga Area does not support or oppose candidates and takes a position on issues after study and consensus has been reached by its members.

January 31, 2012 Vote by mail/absentee ballots available upon application
February 6, 2012 Registration closes
March 3, 2012 Voting in person at Board of Elections ends at 6 PM
March 3, 2012 12 noon deadline for receipt of absentee ballot applications at Board of Elections
March 5, 2012 Postmark deadline for absentee ballots mailed in US
March 6, 2012 PRIMARY ELECTION: 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM

October 2, 2012 Vote by mail/absentee ballots available upon application
October 9, 2012 Registration closes
November 2, 2012 Voting in person at Board of Elections ends at 6 PM
November 3, 2012 12 noon deadline for receipt of absentee ballot applications at Board of Elections
